Christian Science Worship

Our Society holds Church Services at 11am every Sunday at  Caxton House, 22 St Johns Hill Sevenoaks TN13 3NP.  We also hold a Testimony Meeting one Wednesday per month – you can find the dates and times here.

A Sunday service includes hymns, other music, opportunities for silent prayer and at its core, the reading of the Lesson Sermon – which comprises extracts from the Bible, and the Christian Science Text Book.  Everybody is most welcome at these services whatever their knowledge and experience of Christian Science may be.

The detailed order of service can be found in a book entitled “The Manual of The Mother Church”, which was written by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science – Mary Baker Eddy –  and you can see the relevant page at

At the same time as the Sunday Services, we can also offer Sunday School teaching for children and young adults up to the age of 20 or – for very young children – crêche facilities.  Please give us a little notice if you would like either of these for your child – you can either email us or call us and leave a message on our phone number.  Sunday school teaching is offered in accordance with “The Manual of The Mother Church” – you can see that part of the Manual here (scroll down to Article XX).

Testimony Meetings also include hymns and selected readings from the Bible and the Christian Science Text Book, but time is provided during the meeting for those attending to describe testimonies of Christian Science Healing or offer helpful remarks and ideas resulting from their study of Christian Science. Again, these meetings are provided for in The Manual of The Mother Church (Scroll down to Wednesday Meetings).  Again, all are welcome to join these meetings whether or not they have any experience or knowledge of Christian Science.
